What does normalization mean in RRB Exams? ?

Normalization means to make it acceptable without discrimination and it is used to normalize higher and lower marks. If an exam is conducted in multiple shifts, then it is obvious that different questions are asked in each shift.

If there are easy questions in some shift, then there are difficult questions in some, in such a situation, the candidates sitting in the shift with difficult questions will get less marks, which will be unfair in a way. To settle this issue, the normalization process is followed by Railway Recruitment Board and it is applied only in examinations organized in more than 1 shift.
